Half a century in, the workshop that grew into a factory is still built around the same question: what does the customer actually need?
In 1976, a small subcontractor near Treviso took on the jobs that other workshops turned down. The odd sizes, the short runs, the finishes nobody else wanted to handle. Fifty years later, that instinct is still the heart of how we work.
This year Pieffe Union turns fifty, and we wanted to mark it the way that feels true to us: less like a milestone on a wall, more like a good moment to look at the people and the habits that got us here.
From a workshop to an industry, without losing the workshop
Over five decades we grew from a handful of people into a supplier that serves kitchen, furniture, door and contract producers across Europe and into the United States. The scale changed. The reflex did not. We still design the whole production cycle around fully custom work, from technical drawing through manufacturing to packaging and logistics, all under our own roof.
That is what lets us take a low minimum order and a large-volume run in the same week, and treat both as if they matter. Because they do.
A family business, now fully so
Shortly before the anniversary, the Pavan family completed the buyout of the company’s last remaining business partner. Pieffe Union is now entirely family-owned. For the people who rely on us, that is less about ownership on paper and more about knowing who they are talking to, and that the person answering will still be here next year.
What the next fifty are built on
We are marking the year with moments for the people who made it possible: our team, and the customers and partners who have grown alongside us. There will be gatherings through 2026, and you will find us at SICAM in October, where a good part of our industry meets under one roof.
The tools have changed a great deal since 1976. The promise has not. We are here to add value to your product, and to keep saying yes to the requests that make your work stand out.
